1.  You've been playing in a number of  bands for the last 20 years - quite a milestone - does one band stand out over the others at all?
The Dangerfields is the one I'll take to the grave, possibly literally. Adream was me finding my feet, Alumni Feedback was a clash of egos, Griswold was a four-year piss-up and the rest are best forgotten, and probably have been. There's still plenty of work to be done with the Dangerfields. I don't like to dwell on the past too much. This anniversary gig is a one-off.

2.  Why the reunion gig now?
Adream played our first gig on 18th November 1989, so Wednesday will be 20 years to the day. I had thought about doing something on the fifth anniversary, and the 10th and the 15th, but I never got round to it because the Dangerfields were always touring. For the 20th, I knew I had to do something. Marc from Adream and the guys from Griswold were well up for it. Most of the guys have kept gigging over the years, but Leif from Griswold hasn't played live since 1999, which is ironic, seeing as he works as a guitar tech for Ash and Leonard Cohen, and tours the world constantly. I had hoped to reform Alumni Feedback, too, but the main man Dan wasn't up for it.

3. You formed Adream when you were just 15 - anything you would have done differently and was it easier or more difficult to perform at that age?
There's really nothing I would have done differently, apart from not starting drinking. It was fun to begin with, but I wasted so much time getting drunk and chasing girls, when I could have been playing more gigs or making more records. It was easy enough performing at 15, but we really had no idea about the business side of things, and there was no internet to fall back on. We were babes, lost in the woods.

4. You've encountered some big names in music while on tour - anyone who made a big impression and any who disappointed you?
Most of the big names - Lemmy, Joe Strummer, Bruce Dickinson, Jerry Only - have been absolute gents, truly decent people. Marky Ramone was a bit of a git, but it was good to meet him anyway. A lot of the really interesting people I've met haven't been famous, like Roddy the Gaelic-speaking, organic-farming crusty punk from Skye, or Kev the '80s computer game-obsessed stand-up comedian from Dundee, or Carol the deformed-handed drama teacher from Manchester. Meeting strange people is one of the best things about touring.

5.  What has been the best and worst gig you have ever played?
The best gig is always the next one. As for the worst - take your pick. I'm rarely 100% happy with any of our shows. You wouldn't think it to listen to our ramshackle noise, but I'm quite the perfectionist.

6.  For anyone who doesn't know your music what can they expect on Wednesday night?
Ear-splitting, nose-bleeding, eye-popping, brain-damaging rock 'n' roll played by three ageing turds who should know better.

7.  Was it strange performing with the other band members again or have you stayed in touch?  What have you all been up to since?
Griswold and Adream practiced yesterday for the first time in 10 and 18 years respectively. It was surprising how easy it was to slip back into it. We were tighter than I could ever have imagined. Of course, it'll all go to hell on the night.
